About Syllavo

Syllavo is booking, scheduling, lesson notes and payments software for independent tutors — the people running a one-person tutoring practice around a day job, a degree, or a teaching career.

Most software in this space is built for tutoring agencies: multi-tutor rosters, payroll, branch settings, per-seat pricing. Solo tutors end up squeezed between that and the alternative — a spreadsheet, a calendar app and a pile of WhatsApp messages. Syllavo exists for exactly that gap: one tutor, their students, and the admin handled.

A few principles we hold ourselves to:

• No commission, ever. Marketplaces take 18–40% of a tutor's lesson income. Syllavo charges a flat subscription — from £0 — and takes 0% of what you earn.
• Calm software. No notification spam, no dark patterns, no card required to try it, and a free plan that stays free.
• Honesty about what it does. Our comparison page lists what Syllavo doesn't do alongside what it does. If another tool fits you better, we'd rather you find out from us.
• Reliability first. Payments run on Stripe, data lives in Supabase with row-level security, and money goes directly to your bank account — never through ours.

Syllavo is made by Bluebell Labs Ltd, a UK company. We're small and early — which means every piece of feedback is read by the people who build the product, and usually acted on quickly.
